Hawaii Beach - Keokea Beach ParkOne really stunning Hawaii beach, is Keokea Beach Park, on the Big Island. It's a very dramatic looking pebble beach, surrounded by red sandstone cliffs.
I wouldn't advise you to go swimming here... the waves looked pretty strong and it would be easy to get hurt on the rocks. But this is a really nice place to go and simply enjoy the beauty of it. There is a pavillion overlooking the beach, and it makes a great place for a picnic. This is also a good place to do some whale watching in Hawaii. If you look out from the pavillion, in the winter time at least, you can see whales jumping and coming up for air. Back to Big Island Beaches |
