Top Beaches of The World
Kua Bay

Beaches in Hawaii, are some of the top beaches of the world... one of them, being Kua Bay on the Big Island.

Until recently, you needed a four wheel drive, or had to walk a long, trechurous, hike to get to this beach.

But while we were passing through Kona, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the road had been paved, and the beach is very accessible.

This is a truly beautiful beach... fine, white, sand.. clear, turquoise, water... and fluffy waves. It's a great place for swimming, boogie-boarding, frolicking, and tanning. We also saw some people further out who were surfing.

The road to this beach is between mile marker 88 and 89, on Highway 19... just after mile marker 88, across from the veterens center.

Kua Bay can get pretty crowded, but if it's like most beaches around here, you will find a lot less people during week days in the early afternoon.
