Waikiki BeachIt’s always a party at Waikiki Beach! This is a fun, tropical urban beach environment that is like no where else in Hawaii. It’s a great place for swimming, tanning, snorkeling, and surfing - especially for beginners, since the waves aren’t too big. 
Oahu is “ The Gathering Place” of Hawaii…. And Waikiki is “The Gathering Place” of Oahu. It gets crowded. There are lots of tourists, and it can get to be a bit loud. Waikiki may not be the calm and serene Hawaiian beach you have pictured in your mind, but it is still definitely worth a visit. When you decide you’ve had enough of this loud, tropical party, you won’t have to go far to find another activity. The beach is lined with Hotels and the Waikiki Strip - full of entertainment, shops, and fine dining. You are also not far from downtown Honolulu, which offers even more choices of things to do.
