Learning how to surf

I visited some friends in Hawaii, and one day they took me out to the beach, (forget which one at the moment) to teach me how to surf. There were a lot of surfers out that day who were all really good, and I felt a little silly out there floppin all over the place.. but I got the hang of it eventually, and I caught a couple waves. We went again a few more times while I was there, and I got better each time. Now I understand why some people just.. surf... all the time.. It's so exciting! If I lived in Hawaii I could easily see myself out there catching waves (well, trying to) every day. I hope you all get to try it when you visit!
