Maui Beach Hotel -

After reading the reviews I was very hesitant to stay at this hotel for more than one night (& not looking forward to that, either.) However, I was very pleasantly suprised by everything about this little gem! The staff was gracious and most helpful at every turn, smiles on all of their faces, every one, all the time. The room was clean and we had the most lovely view of the mountains! The street noises were obliterated when windows were closed and the AC was on. The beds were comfortable. You can't beat the location, convenience-wise, and, although we did not have one of the rooms with a lanai, we enjoyed sitting out back every evening, listening to the ocean, sipping our own cocktails. I expected a dingy, run-down motel. I believed, after reading the reviews, the only reason one would stay there is for the convenience to certain locations, and I desperately tried to get a room elsewhere. However, I repeat, I would be very very happy to stay there again! The food looked delicious, but our schedule did not allow us to partake in that fare. The pool looked inviting (they could use some umbrellas out there!) but we were on the run so did not enjoy it, either. DO stay there, but do not expect a $700/night resort atmosphere, just a homey, comfortable, clean, convenient, and friendly experience. |
