Kalapana Cafe

If you're looking for a restaurant in Hawaii on the Big Island, the Kalapana Cafe won't disappoint! It's a bit out of the way.. But if You are visiting the Kapoho tide pools, or the warm ponds, The Kalapana village cafe is a nice place to eat that isn't too far away.

The drive to this little restaurant is simply gorgeous, with the road going right along the cost for most of the drive.

They have really good burgers, salads, sandwiches, and tropical ice cream. Whenever I go, I usually get the Big Island Burger.. a teriyaki burger with Swiss cheese and pineapple.

The tables are all outdoors, with large umbrellas over them for shade. It's a cute little spot.

Across from the cafe is the trail to the New Black Sand Beach, where I often see whales jumping in the winter.
